What does this warranty cover?


​All Universal Surgical Instruments products are covered by our 30-day unconditional guarantee. German and USI brand instruments are covered by our lifetime guarantee. This warranty applies only to physical goods purchased from Universal Surgical Instruments. If Universal Surgical Instrument products were purchased through a third party such as a distributor, any warranty claims have to be submitted through the distributor from which they were purchased. 

This warranty covers the following:


  • Any defects in materials used to manufacture our products.
  • Any defects in workmanship under normal use.
  • Any broken components under normal use.


​What will Universal Surgical Instruments do to correct any issues with product(s)/instrument(s) still under covered under warranty?


  • Universal Surgical Instruments will repair the product(s)/instrument(s), at no cost, if the product(s)/instrument(s) are still under warranty.
  • Any broken or damaged product(s)/instrument(s) parts will be repaired using new or replacement parts.
  • The product(s)/instrument(s) will be exchanged with a new replacement product(s)/instrument(s).


What does this warranty not cover?


  • Damage of a product(s)/instrument(s) resulting from negligence such as improper use, care or lack of routine maintenance.
  • Damage of the product(s)/instrument(s) resulting from unauthorized modification of the product(s)/instrument(s).
  • Damage caused by a natural disaster.
  • ​Theft or loss of product(s)/instrument(s).


How do you send back product(s)/instrument(s) for repair or replacement under warranty:


  1. Contact Universal Surgical Instruments to arrange the repair/replacement of any product(s)/instrument(s) at sales@universalsurgical.com or call us at (877) 587-6278.
  2. ​Ship back product(s)/instrument(s) to: 10 Valley Rd, Glen Cove, NY 11542.
  3. We recommend shipping product(s)/instrument(s) back using a carrier that provides package tracking services. Universal Surgical Instruments will not assume responsibility for packages lost not using a carrier that provides tracking services.  
  4. In all cases, customers are responsible for verifying and complying with proper shipping requirements of the selected carrier.
  5. Customer is responsible for shipping cost back to Universal Surgical Instruments for final warranty approval based on the criteria in our warranty policy. 










How do I return product(s)/instrument(s) to Universal Surgical Instruments?


  1. Contact Universal Surgical Instruments to return any product(s)/instrument(s) at sales@universalsurgical.com or
    call us at (877) 587-6278.
  2. All product(s)/instrument(s) must be returned within 30 days from date of delivery to be eligible for a refund.
  3. Any accessories that originally shipped with the product(s)/instrument(s) must be included in the package.


Who pays for the return shipping?


  1. Customer is responsible for return shipping cost back to Universal Surgical Instruments for final return approval upon product(s)/instrument(s) arrival inspection.
  2. In all cases, customers are responsible for verifying and complying with proper shipping requirements of the selected carrier.
  3. We recommend shipping product(s)/instrument(s) back using a carrier that provides package tracking services. Universal Surgical Instruments will not assume responsibility for packages lost not using a carrier that provides tracking services.
